Stacie & Marcus | Bellingham Wedding

admin | July 19, 2011

Stacie and Marcus were married at the beautiful Glen Echo Garden, just outside of Bellingham, Washington.

Both Marcus and Stacie and great friends of mine, and it was an honor to get to be a part of the day. I love these two and the wedding party was a great group as well. We had fun getting these images, from following them into streams to being pushed around the dance floor with camera in hand it was fun – I may have even choked up during the speeches. Here is a mix of photos from their beautiful wedding day. Enjoy!

a gorgeous bride & amazing location put the wedding off to a good start

It rained right up until we headed out for photos, clearing up to be perfect all day. The boots were ready though just in case, and came in handy for photos.

I really like everyone in this wedding party, and this photo. They all made the entire day a blast.

6 girls walking through a rocky bottomed stream = entertainment. I laughed and took a lot of photos.

here they are just leaving the ceremony, you can see the emotion of the day on their faces

The Civil Wars | Live at The Triple Door

The Civil Wars:

I love live music, so getting to shoot bands usually doesn’t feel like work. When I heard I would have the pleasure of meeting one of my favorites, The Civil Wars, I was very excited. If you have not heard their music, please listen now, and enjoy a few images here. Read the full article written by JC Valle HERE.

In the words of their tour-mate James Vincent “The two of them have been genetically engineered to sing together.” There is really no better way to describe the sound and chemistry that happened on stage. “Williams is the gorgeous brunette who dances to each song like some magical, music, fairy of wonderment and ridiculous harmonies. John Paul is the stoic and soulful guitar player that has a voice to compliment his partner’s feminine and ethereal vibe.” – JC Valle

“Listening to the beginning of their best known song, Poison and Wine which was featured on Grey’s Anatomy in 2009, you begin to wonder if there is such thing as musical ESP. White and Williams seem to be the flagship case. Their ability to perfectly compliment and follow each other musically is astounding.

The encore was a cover of Michael Jackson’s classic Billie Jean. A fantastic way to end a performance in the simple and effortless way it had begun. They need so little to put on a good show. Together, The Civil Wars are just enough.” – JC Valle
